For commenting on a piece as I saw it - It was a fair comment , I wasn`t rude - It was said in a diplomatic manner & in return I get
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE - and then I was blocked ......... The irony of it all is this member has recently viewed my gallery and faved a piece of mine.
The last 6 months I`ve been more expressive in my comments when viewing members work ... I study members work closely , not just a fleeting view and a quick fav add (Hands up if ur one of them lol) - I feel now i`m in a better position to give more of an in-depth comment than 2 years ago as I now understand the concept of photo-manipulation and I`m fully aware how hard it is to execute manipulation and add effects/colours etc etc to ones pieces.
I do feel that all my comments are fair and honest and that`s how I will always try and be.
I for one, appreciate your comments immensely Bob,,It always brings me such joy, when people spend time with my art..make an effort to write something more than just,,beautiful,,not that I don't appreciate every single comment or fav. But I do love when I get those more profound evaluations of the many hours I spent on a piece!! Blocked..omg..I find you very polite and having a hard time believing you wrote something offending enough to get blocked!! Keep on writing,,so many appreciate that!!! We should all try to ignore people that drains us with there negative energy imho!!!
Personally, I try to follow the "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything" rule-of-thumb. It keeps me out of trouble most times lol -- but since I don't know the comment in question here it may not apply
I believe that if someone puts their work 'out there,' then it's fair game for someone to comment on how they feel about that artist's style, work, etc...good or bad. I have learned a lot from a few who critiqued my work and benefited from it in the long run.
