No need to thank me when I fav ur work - the mere fact I add ones work to my favourites speaks volumes ...... I would rather see a member leave a comment on my own work than thousands of "thank you for the fav" comments in my inbox ... Need I say more !!

I just do it because it's like returning the appreciation. It's more or less like letting people know that you care about the fact that they liked your art. At least that's how I view it.

I tried to break this stupid chain but friends never stop to thank.
I agree with u, it is most nice to read some words as critique about my works.
İt is more support me to know my mistakes to show more nice works to the others.
So,
No thank to me, no thank to u:headbang:

I quess it is a natural for someone to say thanks. It is the first thing we want to say in many ocasions.
Oh... Coming back to this... Meabye is best to say thanks and also check out the devations of the one who faved and commented on ur work :)
Otherwise I pretty much think ''Thank you for fav'' is just evil.
Cheers to you Stroody *Hugs* :)

I was wondering if it's okay to thank you and then to browse thru your gallery and comment?
I know a lot of artists don't like all of the thank you's so I have stopped doing them but I feel sooo rude...and I really am appreciative and I want to thank them. But I don't cuz I don't want to tick them off.

Ooooo Roxanne you will never tick me off , not after that great stamp you created lol - I hear what ur saying about feeling rude but ur not being rude - When a member views ones work it`s their choice to add or not - Thanking somebody for adding comes secondary - What I do find rude is somebody adding my work to their favs and not commenting - Now thats rude lol ....

Roxanne disregard my jornal - You do what makes you comfortable :)

Haha! It gets so confusing.
I fav on the run too! Bad me. I read this journal a while back where the person wrote something along the line that if you aren't going to give constructive critiques, Do not spam their page with messages of adoration.
Left me scratching my head. It's so confusing.

I can understand that if the person in question is seeking to become an artist/photographer hence constructive critques is important ( good as well as bad) - We are all here 4 different reasons , I`m a translator , that`s what I do for a living - all this photo-manipulation I do is a hobby for me hence a comment like "nice work" is more than satisfying for me. Others on the other hand seek deeper analysis and its always the ones that look to make a career out of it :)
